Opt Out by Domain

Spam Links is normally quite strongly opposed to "opt out", but feels a bit less opposed than normal to the new OptOutByDomain.com website.

OptOutByDomain offers to run a registered domain through the opt-out list of several known spammers, in return for those spammers having free reign to send solicited bulk email to a sacrificial address that is nominated in place of the domain.

It might sound like pandering to the lies of spammers; that's exactly what it would be, except for the sting in the tail: if the spammer doesn't make good on his agreement, and spams the domains that were opted out then the creator of the site will sue the spammer.

Spam Links doesn't get enough spam from the particular creeps listed on OptOutByDomain.com to make it worth it, but this will be interesting to watch as it matures - why not try it out?
